Dr. Kristen Johansen is a respected pediatrician. With her sexy plus-sized figure and long blonde hair you’d think she’d have a man. But her demanding career has put her love life on hold, until she’s attacked late one night and becomes an addict—of vampire venom.

Now she has no choice but to go out after sundown, offering herself to anyone with fangs who wants a late-night snack. Which is how she runs into Joe, the last person she would have suspected of being a vampire. Blue-collar and hard-core, Joe works as a mechanic and hides his intellect behind his skill with a socket wrench. But what he really longs for is an extra-curvy woman with appetites to match his own.

After an explosive sexual encounter, Joe offers Kristen the chance at a cure. But as they work together to find the rogue vampire who attacked her, Kristen begins to wonder if her addiction is turning into love. And whether regaining her old life is worth losing the only man she has ever cared for.

Read Planet X and thought it was perfect. Was dying to read more EA. This author's writing is better than most authors and the sex scenes are solid. But here, I wish the characters had been allowed to get to know each other more slowly. The hero's history was interesting but cut short. Then I didn't like the visit to the S&M bar particularly. It seemed forced and not very erotic. Then the anal sex scene!! Yikes, how did him having to do it to her blood rapist mean she had to have it done to her first?!? Weird. Clunky. Not sexy. Yuck. I wonder if the author herself thought that was erotic or if she thought we would think so. Well, I for one say, Nay.

One of my favorites! Hot read with true emotional ties to the characters. Read it then re-read it, again and again and again.

Really hated it. I feel bad giving such a bad rating but I couldn't even finish it. Was not my cup of tea. With forced seduction where the woman feels alot of shame and even asked him to stop, which he didn't. That made me extremly dislike the male lead, even if it was done to catch the bad guy. Wished I hadn't wasted my money. Awful :(

Loved how Ms. Anderson managed to have such varied sex scenes in this one. From rushed to BDSM-inspired with an audience to slow and sweet to anal. My goodness, the choices! All super sexy. Go for it! I liked how the heroine let herself be a little blindsided by the hero's feelings - it shows that even a smart person can sometimes be oblivious to someone else's feelings, and I think we've all been there. She never really did anything to keep him around, so he was right to let her go. Of course, he wasn't exactly vocal about his feelings, so who could blame her for not having picked up on it when she had a physical issue prompting her (the addiction)? Sheesh. I really felt like I could see myself in her shoes. Ms. Anderson did a splendid job with this story, so I wish it were longer just so that I could enjoy it even more! Read this!

This book was hot. If you are already a fan of Evangelne Anderson, this book will not disappoint. It has a little bit of an edge to it, it portrays some scenes that are borderline forced. If you really don't like the harder edge to sex dont read this because it contains some BDSM and anal sex.

I must admit, I'm not normally into the Vampire genre but I gave this a go cause I'd read most of her other books and I was pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed it.

This was a great story. It took a while to get into Kristen's head but I loved Joe right off. I would recommend this book for a read on a rainy day. Some great scenes.

This is one of my favorites. I thought the storyline was fantastic and the sex was hot. The male lead was fantastic specimen and highly erotically charged. The characters had great chemistry and I loved the ending.

I'm rather disappointed. I had higher expectation from this book. Don't get me wrong. It's hot, but the heroine's character could be better. I can't believe it that someone who's smart enough to be a doctor, doesn't have enough self confidence, and she's a bit slow to realize the hero's feeling for her.

Chris, Night Owl Romance - Most vampire books that you read now highlight how cool it is to be undead. Love blooms between a vampire and a mortal, and all is hunky dory. But what if you were the victim of a hit and run rogue vampire? What if you were turned into an addict, desperate for the venom only a vampire’s bite could give you? And would do anything to get it? Kristen is a pediatric doctor and while not thrilled with her life as she is dateless and a little on the curvy side, it is a life of her own choosing. Attacked after dropping her car off at her late-night mechanics, her life is forever changed - And not for the better. Joe is not just a mechanic. He’s much more. Kristen is a want he can never have because of his past. But when she is attacked while leaving his shop, he feels responsible for her and becomes her champion in her quest for a cure for her addiction. This was a very dark romance. Full of both Kristen and Joe’s angst and despair over their lives, these two lost souls find one another. Can an addicted professional have a real relationship with a working class man? What will her colleagues think? Two people thrown together out of necessity soon find more than they bargained for. Will Kristen’s addiction bring them together, or keep them forever apart? You’ll just have to read the story to find out. 4/5 Hearts
