Heather on 5/26/2011, said: Holy hotness, Batman! After the first one, I thought maybe the sex would be toned down in this one, too, which would be fine. I didn't miss the kink in the last one. But right off the bat, wow. That's not to say the sex overpowered the storyline. The story was still great and engaging and I can't wait for the next one (Sheridan and Finn should be interesting), but it was pretty darn hot sex. I didn't expect the whole Halloween splittage thing. And I don't think anyone could see the ultimate result coming. But it was a great story, a good way to keep the story and the prophecy moving, and it made me want to read the next one. The threesome angle was done very different than i've read before, which made me like it alot. If you wan't to read this book you really have got to read the 1st one -Lifting the Veil- to really understand all the characters. I Hope there is another book coming in the series. This book has it all the Fae, hot vikings, mystical prophecies, and a cute child in danger from her evil father. The heroine is her mother who has spent the past four years on the run trying to keep her child safe. My only problem with this book is that there are so many secondary characters who are obviously from the previous book that I did get a bit lost trying to remember who was who. So I would reccomend reading the previous book in the series. RG Alexander's style of writing is similar to the always excellent Shiloh Walker.
