First read After the Storm, as those characters are the relatives from 1400s. However, I read it backwards and it still made sense. This book was so well written. It had more storyline than sex, which for a change was refreshing so the plot did not get lost. This book was so funny that I laughed through the entire story. Definitely my favorite of Jaid's books. A full cast of interesting characters, all with their own romances. This may well be my favorite Jaid Black/Tia Isabella story. It has all of the tongue-in-cheek humor, over-the-top imagination and story-telling ability as her later work, without the dark edginess (which is not to say that I don't have an appreciation for that, too).
