There’s action galore and just enough of a hint of tragic suspense that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The love between Kandos and Rina is absolute and moving – perhaps second only to the love that her family has for her and the emotion that Kandos and his friends have for him. The story is hot and steamy, and when there is action, of that sort, it is fraught with emotion that even arousal takes a second seat to the plot and how their love will unfold. Cara Carnes not only has a deft hand with characterization, she also created a world with an intriguing background and premise. I was disappointed that there wasn’t more back-story filling in the blanks.
