The characters are genuine, well-developed, and lovable--I was completely charmed by the desire and frustration felt by the hero and heroine. The scenario is fairly realistic with the attraction between a seductive man and the woman he loves guiding the action. Byrd builds the sexual tension between her sexy alpha male and her curvy, intelligent leading lady with witty banter and mutually lusty thoughts. I love that the book begins with an attempt at polite courtship and ends with an explosive, lengthy session of scorching sex. Please, Ms. Byrd, write a follow-up book about Mark's brother Cain and Melanie's friend Kyra! I absolutely love your style and the characters you write about--the dialogue between the brothers is both a comical introduction to the plot and an incredibly accurate account of men discussing women!
