Book 1 in the Lunewulf series.

An unexpected human attack on a lunewulf pack has led to devastating losses, leaving the pack with very few single females old enough to mate. Drastic measures must be taken. Lunewulf law goes into effect, stating that every female shall have three males for her mates. If the matings aren't consummated in thirty days, the males die.

Nik Alexander knows Sophie Rousseau is his. The entire pack knows it. He's sniffed after her since high school, and now it's time to approach his pack leader and ask that Sophie be his mate. But with the new law in effect, Nik must share Sophie with two other males.

Nik is an honorable lunewulf. He won't turn away from his pack. As much as he wants to rip the throat out of his pack leader, he will respect the new law. Lukas Kade and Jonathan Abram may have Sophie, but only under Nik's terms.

Reader Advisory: This story contains a scene of menage-a-trois sex.

Publisher Note: This book was previously available as the short story Pack Law. It has been greatly expanded.

The word bitch or bitches is found 114 of 157 pages. I couldn't find a feature in the PDF format to figure out total number for the entire novel, my calculation is understated. The pages I read had a average of 5, so multiple that by 114...REALLY?! Even a guy is referenced as a bitch in an insulting manner for not behaving like a proper male - for gossiping!! When I'm less irritated I'll try finishing this "bitchy read".

Enjoyable story. Good strong heroine and an uber alpha male (yummm). I do agree with the other reviewers about the over usage of the word "bitch", seems it was the only descriptive word for the females the author knew.

I thought that it being free would lead me down the path of a new series to enjoy, but halfway through the book and I just couldn't take it anymore. The excessive use of the word bitch, the choppy writing and the weak character development all left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I was more stunned by the weak plot and unrealistic writing than anything. Even with the book being free I couldn't continue on, someone must enjoy the books as there are so many of them but unless there was drastic improvement after the first one I don't see how.

I was disappointed in this book. I agree with previous reviewers that the overuse of the words "bitch and littermate" had me wanting to throw this book. Even with the sex scenes, it did seem very young adult read to me and not for adults. It just reminded me of a book teenagers 16 to 18 would enjoy instead of grown women. I much enjoyed Cariboo Lunawolf from this author. That three-book series was fantastic. Also try from this author Tainted Purity and Jaded Prey, which is a Gods/suspense storyline but was very entertaining.

I really did not enjoy this book. I didn't like the constant "bitch" in it. I also thought it wasn't much of a grown-up book. I ended up just skimming it so that I could get through it. So far, though, the second book in the series In Her Blood is MUCH better!!

Good, but I was expecting more. Repetition of certain jargon ('bitch', 'littermate') was really distracting to the flow of the story for me, and I expected a bit more from the plot. Excellent characters though.
